Thank you to our friends and family who helped us with their donations to the Annual Closer to Free fundraising Ride! We had a goal of $500 and are #grateful to have raised $600!
Ride day started with waking at 4am – we were not supposed to wake up that early but we were both very nervous that we’d sleep through the alarm and miss the event! We had attended the rider pre-registration Friday evening before, so the bike was already in the racks at the Yale Bowl.
Saturday morning we joined over 1.900 other riders at the parking lot at 6:15am, just as dawn was breaking. The whole event was very cheerful and uplifting and inspiring as well as very well organized!
Paul rode the 65 Mile route and I Volunteered with the Yale Bowl Cheer group. It is surprising how tired and sore I am from over 5 hours of ringing a cow bell and cheering! LOL! Here are a few of my photos from the day. #CTFRide
